I've been working on a commissioned oil , 48" x 60" in size, for a private home . The subject is the client's home and horse farm in southwestern Pennsylvania.
I first painted a small oil study during the summer months and I've been working from that as I paint this larger version.
The focus of the painting is determined by my use of light . This scene depicts an afternoon light when the clouds are up which creates all kinds of beautiful light effects in the middle distance and far distance.

This painting is spectacular!
Would you travel to paint the Sims ancestral home in South Carolina?
I love the feeling of a warm late summer afternoon.
